Career
Influenced by his father, he began surfing in elementary school and started competing seriously during junior high. After achieving high rankings in domestic competitions, he expanded his reach to the global stage at age 16, competing in international circuits. In 2017, he placed 5th in the Youth Division of an international competition in Maui. From 2018 onwards, he competed in the IWT and PWA World Cups.
In 2018, he received an offer from the global brand “Naish” to become an international rider. As the only Japanese team rider, he dedicated himself to raising the profile of windsurfing, a sport with low recognition in Japan at the time.
While based in Australia during the final years of his competitive career, he built a vision for his post-retirement life while expanding his local network. Alongside his athletic career, he recognized the demand for high-quality Japanese construction machinery and established a trading company to start an export business from Japan to Australia.
In December 2025, he retired from professional competition to move on to his next stage.
Currently, leveraging his unique perspective and the international network built during his professional years, he manages a diverse range of businesses across various sectors, including construction machinery trade, advertising and creative production, and restaurant management.
“The field may change, but the spirit of challenge remains the same.”
By translating the “ability to read the wind” cultivated as a windsurfer into business, he continues to offer new value and lifestyles from his hometown of Kobe.
